Kenner Native Donna Brazile Assumes Role of DNC Interim Chair
NEW ORLEANS —Kenner native and CNN political commentator Donna Brazile will serve as interim chair of the Democratic National Committee.
Brazile assumed the role after Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Florida congresswoman, announced Sunday that she is stepping down as chairwoman after the end of the Democratic National Convention.
Brazile currently serves as vice chair for civic engagement and voter participation for the DNC, according to her Twitter bio. She is also a political strategist and commentator for ABC News and CNN.
