White Nationalists Stand With Trump After Clinton Highlights His Racist ‘Alt-Right’ Ties
Proving that Hillary hit the mark dead center.
VDare’s Peter Brimelow: “Stop The Witch’s Hunt!” Peter Brimelow is the editor for vdare.com, which SPLC describes as “an anti-immigration hate website” with a white nationalist ideology. Brimelow wrote a fundraising post — headlined “Stop The Witch’s Hunt! Hillary Clinton vs. Alt Right” — before the speech praising Trump as “the best presidential candidate on immigration that we’ve ever had” and claiming Clinton is conducting a “witch’s hunt” against the white nationalist movement (emphasis in original):
But what’s not great: I expect Clinton’s speech be (sic) just be the start of a renewed and even more ruthless effort to drive any discussion of immigration out of public debate.
I can’t see any other reason for her to take this approach. She’s not attempting to challenge Trump on the merits of his positions. She’s apparently just going argue (sic) Guilt By Association—what the Left used to call “McCarthyism.” [vdare.com, 8/24/16; Southern Poverty Law Center, accessed 8/25/16]
Radio Host David Duke: Clinton’s Speech Will “Backfire Tremendously.” Radio host David Duke is a former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and one of the most infamous leaders of the white nationalist movement. Duke reacted to news of Clinton’s speech by comparing her to a “pedophile condemning children. It’s not going to make people condemn children by her speech. It’s only going to make people more support the alt-right because of this criminal individual who’ll mean the death for, truly, the America and the American people.” He also claimed that Clinton’s speech will “backfire tremendously” because the alt-right’s ideas are already spreading across the country.
