This coming from a state that wished to make the Bible the ‘state book’?

Oh the irony. It hurts.

Slightly off-topic but while reading this article an ad appeared for ‘MultiSIM Blue’. I nearly misread it as ‘MuSLIM Blue’.

Another one for my list. A total crock of shit—I don’t even need to read Snopes to know that. How? Because the girls look old enough that they would have their hair covered.

I just went and looked at the Snopes article and I was right—these are supposedly middle school age kids, so most if not all of the girls would be of covering age (puberty).

I had to LOL at the snippet from the Islam versus Europe page:

Here’s a photo from something similar in England. Note the evil-looking Muslim dressed in white. He seems to be enjoying himself as the little blonde white girls bow down in front of him.

Evil looking? Enjoying himself because the white girls are bowing in front of him? You can’t even tell what he looks like, much less whether or not he looks “evil.”

But hey, he’s a brown, presumably Muslim guy in a mosque, so he must be evil. He does appear to be smiling which is what most adults do when dealing with kids—what was he supposed to do, scowl at them? I suppose it’s impossible that he was simply happy to see some non-Muslims coming by to see for themselves what Islam is like, huh? The shit these dirtbag bigots make up says a LOT more about them than it does about the victims of their scummy backbiting.

BTW, just for shits & giggles I magnified the Muslim guy’s face to 1000% and still can’t read any evil glee into it. Anyone else? Please point it out if you find it. //

This illustrates such a high level of understanding of religion…Oh wait. No it doesn’t.
It’s all about accidentally falling into the devil’s hands by saying a word you don’t understand, or making an unintended gesture. In other words, Magick!

Really, despite being an atheist, I have no objection to people practicing whatever faith they choose, but I do have trouble with the things they panic about.
I’d like to think we’ve progressed in our understanding since, say the Middle Ages, what with education and all, but I’m kind of afraid we haven’t.
