Improvement and Hard Work Are More Important Than Exams

Singaporean parents, like many Asian parents, are obsessed with high grades and put a lot of pressure on their kids from a young age to excel in everything. Singapore’s Ministry of Education is trying to convince parents that hard work, improved marks and a love of learning are even more important.
It’s a message that many Americans need to hear, too.
