Many of you by now have heard about Chez’s passing. As you can imagine, it’s a very private time for his family and closest friends, so the circumstances will also remain private for now. Suffice to say, we’re all in shock. Chez was a giant, though I don’t think he was ever fully aware of his talent or his prowess as a writer, broadcaster and television producer — especially as a comedian. Chez made me laugh every time we opened the mics for a show and oftentimes, there was a show before the show that was, in some ways, more entertaining than the actual show.
I’ll have more to say about my friend on Tuesday’s show. Along those lines, I assure you, the show will go on. Chez would’ve insisted, especially knowing the clown dictator he despised so much is still in power.
Please stick with us, and stay tuned…
Safe home, my friend. I miss you.
