Right on Cue: RWNJs Claim Syria Gas Attack a “False Flag”
I was going to do a satirical post, maybe goof off on social media about how the conspiracy theorists were probably going to start claiming that the sarin gas attack. I didn’t do this because:
- The death of innocent civilians in horrific ways is not really rich comedy gold
- I never thought that RWNJs would actually be so demented as to doubt the Sarin Gas attacks
- Nobody could really be that callous and stupid, could they?
- No. Not gonna happen. Even RWNJ conspiracy ratfuckers would not sink this low.
Well, surprise, surprise, surprise.
Mike Cernovich—one of the main drivers of the debunked “Pizzagate” conspiracy about a nonexistent child sex ring involving Hillary Clinton and a series of pizza shops in Washington, D.C, and a separate conspiracy alleging that Clinton was dying of a litany of fatal diseases during the campaign—encouraged fans to help #SyriaHoax trend on Twitter. At press time, it was the No. 2 trend in the United States.
Apparently, the Kremlin’s trolls and the other opportunistic soulless shit-eaters have piled into this. Viz the screen caps below. Complete with the usual claims of “Crisis Actors” and made-up bullshit.
To be clear, this is what happens when there is a systematic, 40-year effort on the part of the right-wing conservatives to de-legitimize the media, and in any actual belief in facts. This is the endgame of the belief in conspiracy theories.
The paranoia is complete. Everything is a lie. Nothing is true in right-wingland. It’s all just clickbait, cynical manipulation, desinformatzione, and ugly hate.
This is the world you’ve made, GOP. Enjoy.
