A Citizens Declaration of Enmity for Donald Trump POTUS
Slightly edited and posted by yours truly. The writer is a very well educated fellow, quite frustrated as are many of us at the current admin.
Declaration of Enmity
As a Citizen of the United States of America, it is not only my Right under the First Amendment of the Constitution, but my obligation to the living spirit of the founding fathers to declare Donald J. Trump, currently serving as the 45th President of the United States, an enemy of the people of the United States of America and thereby an enemy of myself.
I base this declaration on two Indisputable Facts;
Fact One: The United States was attacked by a foreign power.
The fact that we were attacked is indisputable. The Russian Federation persecuted a large-scale, well-funded, covert operation to interfere in the 2016 presidential Elections. They did not attack a city, a building, a population, or a piece of infrastructure. They attacked that which we hold most dear, our democracy. They attacked our right to decide among ourselves who worthy to lead us – free from the interference of a foreign power.
Fact Two: Having been provided with incontrovertible evidence of this attack, the sitting President of the United States, sworn to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution”, has consistently denied the existence, severity and source of this attack, essentially providing safe haven for the perpetrator.
The Constitution of the United States defines treason as including (in part), “…giving them (our Enemies) Aid and Comfort.” In this attack, the Russian Federation has made themselves our enemy. In failing to adequately inform the American people of the extent or source of this attack, in fact, denying the reality of the attack, in diminishing the significance of the attack, in obfuscating the source of the attack, and in failing to respond in any meaningful way to this attack, Donald J. Trump has provided aid and comfort to this enemy.
This dreadful yet simple truth can be and has been obfuscated by confusing it with questions as regards the degree to which the attack was successful, or whether there was any collusion with Trump or his campaign. These questions, as yet unanswered, are in any case irrelevant to my declaration.
A reasonable argument can be made that Donald J. Trump has additionally perpetrated any number of Misdemeanors against the Constitution and the American People. These include his relentless attacks against the free press, attempts to subjugate the Judiciary, as well as the Department of Justice, Obstruction of Justice, self-dealing, undermining the will of the people as expressed in the legislative formation and charging of any number of Executive Branch Offices, and consistently lying to the American people. Evaluation of these arguments must, in our urgency, be left to the historians. On the basis of this single, provable charge of Treason, we must conclude that the President is a Clear and Present Danger to our Democracy and he must be removed from Office immediately.
This Declaration does not extend to any Other Person, Private or Public Entity, including the Office of the Presidency. I further acknowledge Donald J. Trump’s Legitimate Authority to Execute the Office of the Presidency. Neither does this declaration imply that I contemplate any Action, other than the free exercise of my first amendment rights to advocate that Donald J. Trump should be Removed from Office by any constitutionally feasible process, on the basis that he is an enemy of our union.
