Work Is Finally Picking Up-Please No Trade War
From time to time I report on my view of how a microcosm of the mfg economy is doing. Sure this is purely anecdotal, just one working guy that tries to pay attention. The little segment is jewelry production. We are exporting certain alloys to blend with pure gold like crazy. Cambodia, Vietnam, China. What we don’t need is a needless trade fight and new tariffs. One must point out the American jewelry maker faces massive barriers by way of tariffs to China. So sure there is room to improve that a lot. A fight is a crappy way to go about it. Our position is weak. Rudderless.
Jose pictured above is a naturalized immigrant/proud father we are fortunate to have on the crew. He is the man pictured and the man off frame pouring the 1800 F molten metal into the spinning crucible as shown.
