“The Most Modern Methods Make It Possible to Implement the Führer Order Very Quickly and Discreetly.”
We have located and published an original wartime copy of the so-called Franke-Gricksch report. Up until now the document has only been known in the form of a crude postwar typed copy with several typos and was hard to authenticate, hence it was ignored by most historians.
From now on it should become one of the key pieces of documentary evidence for the mass murder of Jews in the Auschwitz crematoria.
It succinctly describes the procedure employed to murder the Jews and dispose of their corpses. It also mentions the infamous “Führer order”.
We found an original wartime carbon copy of the report in the German Bundesarchiv and had an expert conduct a typewriter font analysis, which confirmed that it originates with the wartime office of Franke-Gricksch.While it’s not the only known Nazi document to describe the mass murder of Jews in Auschwitz, it’s the only known one to do it openly and explicitly, without hiding behind the usual coded language like “special treatment”.
We have supplied the document with an extended commentary (which is necessary not only to establish its veracity, but also to explain several mistakes Franke-Gricksch made in his descriptions).
You can read the document, the analysis and the rebuttal of the Holocaust denial “arguments” here.
