Let’s start with a couple of pictures we forgot to take last week
Recall we ran out of bags and started dumping backfill in the deep end but didnt pound it down.
On to new business.
We scavenged enough bags and went out with hearts high preparing to declare the wall is done. Well due to a clerical / math error we came up short on bags. So we have to order a bunch more and figure one more day - probably less than a whole day.
With free time on our hands we went to back filling the finished portion of the top wall. We made some really good progress and also realized last week’s estimate of how much time it would take to finish this part was also a bit off. So probably 2-3 more days of this alone.
So having just estimated 3-4 total more days till the wall and back fill are done.
again why we shouldn’t do predictions.
In any event, we’re away next weekend so no progress, it looks like mid to late January that this phase will end. And then the liner.
The spaces we are working in are higher/shallower and thinner. Last week i hit my head on a rafter and today we put away the full sized rake. It doesn’t fit between the bags and the wall. We started thinking about tools and realized we did most of this phase with very few tools, not including things like the mower and yard cart. Maybe 15 of which 6 are just various sized shovels.
This weeks pix.
