Well, Lookee Here: Trump’s Base (Some of Them) Starting to Wake Up
Anyone familiar with the pathology of the toxic narcissist KNOWS that the clear pattern is that they save the most malignant, vicious damage to those who are closest to them.
We’ve all long known that Trump’s policies really just boil down to looting the country and delivering trillions to his rich buddies from ordinary, working-Joe taxpayers, while destroying the essential government agencies that keep them safe & healthy. But Fox Noise and Hate Radio have combined to keep them all in the dark, distracting them with SQUIRREL! fake-controversies as their pockets got systematically picked.
Trump, like every sociopathic con man you’ve ever known or seen on TV, has nothing but hatred and sneering condescension towards the people that he’s grifting.
Viz the open contempt by Team Trump for their actual voters:
YIKES. The whole quote: “Some key advisors around the president don’t seem to understand the gravity of the moment. No matter what happens they’ll tell you, ‘our voters aren’t going anywhere, the trailer parks are rock-solid. What choice do they have? They have to vote for us.’” https://t.co/QuFV3ZM4lR

Well, now it looks like SOME of the rubes are starting to wake up. Just a bit.
The latest rattle of stones before the avalanche:
“I told him that he should believe the [public] polling, and that it shows that the way things are going, some of his base may abandon him by the election,” said a Republican who spoke to Trump about the issue earlier this month. “That is what the numbers are saying.”
This source added that the president shrugged off the suggestion and said that this person was being “ridiculous” for entertaining the notion that his base would ever fracture.
… Trump has shown no desire to change. Instead, he’s stubbornly let personal grievance dictate many of his public utterances. That mind-set was evident this weekend, when Trump authored a single tweet bashing three pillars of right-wing influence: guardians of former President Ronald Reagan’s legacy; the last Republican House speaker; and the most powerful conservative cable-news network.
