Eta Is a PITA
Not so much wind; almost nothing out of place or downed. Just a couple of pots.
A lot of rain.
We’ve been getting flash flood warnings all night long and about every hour this morning, even though the rain has mostly stopped for now.
(Just got another one just now at 10:45)
This is where we’re at, so far.
This is our side yard, and both neighbor’s yards flooded.
The roadway is flooded
it comes up half our front lawn - the Crepe Myrtle is 15 feet from the road
To the right of the photo behind the trees is underwater
the field is all underwater but since the wild grass is so high a lot of it doesnt show
that’s the other side neighbor, also flooded
thats across the road. all underwater
A new pond between the barn and the field
when a car drives through, the tide comes up the driveway, laps oh so gently against the dirt pile, then ebbs back out.
Cowabunga. The wind is blowing steady now so we have a westerly current in the roadway.
The papaya is at least a foot underwater and is doing fine.
