Not a lot got done this weekend
The back is still not right and the marathon is next week.
This race is a big deal for a few reasons.
I’ve been chasing an elusive PR on this particular race course for several years.
After the 2019 failure, I think I finally figured out how to beat it. Then I was out in 2020 with an injury.
So I haven’t run a race since the Keys ultramarathon in May ‘19.
With covid, there are very few in person marathons available.
This one is in the neighborhood so no travel, hotels, etc. And they’ve made it safe enough (half the runners, staggered starting, etc.)
Having decided to move the solar to the barn, we started ordering parts.
We quickly redesigned and rebuilt the main distribution panel and mounted it to the barn wall.
Not much to it and not very pretty.
The solar panels come off the roof to the left terminal block.
The right block connects to the long underground wire that will power the pumps. We won’t start digging for at least 2 weeks.
The batteries will sit on the floor and connect to the center block.
No muss, no fuss, no weather to worry about, or battery heat, off-gassing, etc.
The other side of the underground wire comes up at the jasmine bed screened behind where the filter will be.
It will connect to a small sub panel there, and then split off to the two pumps.
Not much else happened
Oh wait, there was guava cake.
