Note that Tesla is funded by the infamous DoE loan program which gave us the Solyndra debacle. So, as a matter of principle, we don’t recommend the purchase of a Tesla. However, it should be noted that their Fremont, California plant is non-union, reportedly paying their workers just $12 an hour.
“Although our workforce historically has been heavily part-time, we have always had a significant number of full-time employees and they are integral to our success. The data we have collected during our test around guest satisfaction and employee engagement has only reinforced this. As we think about healthcare reform, while many of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’s rules and regulations have yet to be finalized, we are pleased we know enough at this point to make firm and hopefully reassuring commitments to our full-time employees.”
Darden, which runs Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, and several other restaurant chains, had previously used ObamaCare as an excuse to cut staff and shorten hours.
Yesterday they also lowered their FY13 earnings estimate, this time blaming media coverage of their earlier plans to cut hours.
‘You should know that evidence is not stuff printed from the internet,’ Marginis said, responding to Taitz’s continued argument after he made the decision to quash the subpoena and award $4,000 in sanctions to Occidental College.
From the ironically named Conservative Fact Check:
The results are, sadly, not surprising. But the situation is grave. PolitiFact (and other supposedly unbiased fact-checking sites) paint Mitt Romney as a serial liar. They also unfairly tarnish Michele Bachmann as a liar, when anybody who follows her already understands that many of her statements aren’t meant to be truthful in the first place — she simply says what she feels.
Conservative Fact Check rains on the parade of the encouraging job numbers:
The negative job growth that began during the last year of Bush’s presidency was perfectly normal, and even expected; it was the natural byproduct of the market correction. It was expected to last for about a year — and, it did. Job creation was expected to return to normal in February of 2009, but as the chart shows, under Obama’s dismal leadership, job creation recovered too slowly, taking a year to get to baseline, when it should have taken no more than three months.
And, they have CHARTS. Lots of them.
Mrs. Kraushar is a registered Republican. She “works for Obama” in the sense that any employee in the executive branch ultimately works for Obama. Of course, a Republican working for the federal government is hardly uncommon.
She’s successful, devoted to her family (having been married for decades), and hasn’t let her handicap slow her down — in other words, she’s the very model of an ideal Republican.
But, simply because of the fact that she filed a sexual harassment claim 15 years ago, she “works for Obama.”
Stay classy, Herman Cain PAC!
Jesse Jackson was once interviewed by a guy who’s on the run from the law at the moment. JWF runs with this and claims that Jesse Jackson is the “executive producer” of the TV show (not true), and that the reporter, apparently through virtue of having stuck a microphone in Jesse Jackson’s face at one point, is Jackson’s “pal” and “associate.”
Curiously, YouTube has yanked a video where this guy interviewed Jackson and where Jackson was listed as an executive producer. Why is that? If it was some conservative who interviewed a prominent Republican, do you suppose the video would go bye bye?
Anyway, the manhunt is on for Jackson’s pal. Maybe the good Reverend can have him turn himself in.
Rep. Bachman notes that the last Swine Flu outbreak was under Jimmy Carter, a Democrat — she finds this to be an interesting coincidence.
For what it’s worth, the ‘76 Swine Flu outbreak was during the Ford administration.
