In the wake of this sorry affair, I wonder if Dr. Carson is saying to himself, “I have a dream, where one day I, and other potential Republican presidential candidates, are no longer dependent on the votes of idiots.”
In response to Dr. Ben Carson’s deeply stupid suggestion that prison is one way people turn gay, thereby proving (somehow) that homosexuality is a choice, sex advice columinist and gay activist invited him to prove it:
Like truthers (9/11 was an inside job), birthers (Barack Obama was born in Kenya), and deathers (Osama bin Laden is alive and well and living in West Hollywood), choicers are another group deranged conspiracy theorists who can’t be dissuaded by science or evidence or facts,” Savage wrote in his column, before issuing a challenge he has put out to conservatives in the past.
In an open letter to Carson, Savage wrote:
Dear Dr. Carson,
If being gay is a choice, prove it. Choose it. Choose to be gay yourself. Show America how that’s done, Ben, show us how a man can choose to be gay. Suck my dick. Name the time and the place and I’ll bring my dick and a camera crew and you can suck me off and win the argument.
Very sincerely yours,
Below is video of Dr. Carson’s profound stupidity:
Its not often that one of my fellow dragons gets such a high profile interviewer. Obviously Smaug and I disagree on a few things, what with the whole eating people thing and all. That, and he’s clearly a conservative. Too bad for the GOP you have to be born in the US to run for president, or he could be their 2016 front runner.
Then again they wouldn’t have been able to complain about Obama being born in Kenya if that were the case. Hey, there’s about as much evidence Smaug is real as there is that Obama was born outside the US.
Meanwhile, over in the parallel dimension inhabited by the Birthers and their conspiracy-minded aiders & abettors, Orly Taitz is claiming that the eebil gummint forced her to put her sacred white hands into the filthy mouths of illegal children something something disease something gimme money round up the brown people WOLVERINES!!!!!
Christ, I can’t even. The OC Weekly has more, including coining the phrase, “The Lucy Ricardo of Law.”
Taitz filed documents that claimed she had been sent immigrant children to treat at her dental practice, that they breathed on her and that she now suffers from respiratory concerns requiring use of a positive pressure oxygen machine.
America is awash in conspiratorial stupidity.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 45% of American Adults reject as false the theory that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by more than one shooter. Thirty-two percent (32%) believe more than one shooter was involved in the 1963 assassination in Dallas, and another 23% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Last November, on the 50th anniversary of the assassination, 36% of adults said Kennedy was the victim of a lone gunman, but just as many (37%) said he was the victim of a larger conspiracy.
One-in-four adults (24%) are convinced that the U.S. government knew in advance about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and did nothing to stop them, and 19% more are not sure. Only 57% say that conspiracy theory is false.
Just as many (23%) say the theory that Obama is not an American citizen is true, with another 17% who aren’t sure. Sixty percent (60%) reject that theory as false.
I hope you’re sitting down for this one, because it’s a real jaw dropper:
Forty-one percent (41%) of Republicans believe Obama is not an American citizen, compared to 21% of unaffiliateds and 11% of Democrats. Just over 20% of Republicans and unaffiliated adults also are not sure, but only seven percent (7%) of those in the president’s party share that doubt.
Dr. Ben Carson (Young Earth Creationist, Birther) Says Pot Use is Promoted to Distract From Benghazi
Dr. Ben Carson - Young Earth Creationist, Birther, and an overall right wing hero because he supposedly humiliated President Obama at the Prayer Breakfast last year by talking about health savings accounts - had a sit down with Joseph Farrah (conspiracy monger and editor of Conspiracy Central, World Nut Daily).
Needless to say, it is World Nut Daily that is making people dumber. One need only look at a roster of writers that includes Larry Elder, Ted Nugent, Pamela Geller, and John Rocker to see why.
Fasten on your tinfoil hats, and get dumber folks:
There are two other videos at the link below. The only question is which of the three is the dumbest.
Dr. Ben Carson (Birther, Young Earth Creationist) - The Lord Told Me What To Say At Prayer Breakfast
Dr. Ben Carson appeared on Pat Robertson’s 700 Club yesterday, and said that God not only told him to speak at the prayer breakfast last year that got him so much attention, but the Lord also told him what to say:
“I realized that God probably had something special he wanted me to say,” Carson explained. “But I didn’t know what it was until the morning of the prayer breakfast.”
“After a while of wrestling with it, I just said, I’m leaving it alone, the Lord will tell me what to say,” he continued. “And that morning, it was so clear in my mind what I was supposed to say.”
