The Jerusalem Post has a report on a new conference on Holocaust denial and the evil Jewish Conspiracy™ scheduled at “The Zayed Centre for Coordination and Follow-Up,” a Bizarro World “think tank” in Abu Dhabi. I’ve written about the Zayed Centre for Schizoid Fantasies before; one of their honored guests was French conspiracy nitwit Thierry Meyssan.
Please note that the Zayed Centre for Drooling Lunacy is not some kind of fringe organization; they are funded by the Arab League, and other speakers this year have included former vice president Al Gore, former secretary of state James Baker, and President George W. Bush’s brother, Neil Bush. Oh, and Lyndon LaRouche.
So they obviously have dough, and they’re not shy about shelling it out.
I think this conference is the same one to which Stefan Sharkansky was mistakenly invited, when the Zayed mutants thought he was anti-Semitic German politician Juergen W. Moellemann. (I still say he should have gone to the conference as Moellemann.)
And I got a surprise when I visited their site—the conference report is now available. This is what passes for thinking from the “eminent Arab scholars” at the Zayed Centre for Obsessive Hand-Washing and Paranoid Psychosis; first the Executive Director:
Mr. Mohammed Khalifa Al Murar, the Executive Director of the Zayed Centre for Coordination and Follow-up repudiated Israelis claim of being the real Semites. “Paradoxically, they accuse Arabs who are Semites themselves, of anti-Semitism. After having usurped the land of Palestine, they claim to be the sons of soil.
They have exploited all possible tactics and their military and political clout to change world opinion in their favor. They know the hollowness of their claims. They know it very well that the descendants of Japheth have nothing to do with Semitism or Palestine. Yet, they churn out lies after lies till they make people believe that they are Semites and are being persecuted by others. They resort to this in order to cover their heinous crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian people. ...
Expressing their true face, Mr. Al Murrar said, “Jews claim to be God’s most preferred people but the truth is they are the enemies of all nations. Most philosophers like Zimmer, consider Jews as cheaters whose greed knows no bounds. Today, after having controlled print and electronic media, they distort facts to suit their objectives”, added Mr. Al Murar.
The Head of Israeli Affairs for the Arab League says Jews deserve all the hostility directed at them, they’re exploiting it to gain an undeserved advantage over the noble Arabs, and that violence against Jews is not terrorism although any violence by Jews is:
Dr. Ahmad saleem Jarad, Head of Israeli Affairs, follow-up Desk in the Arab League and representative of the Secretary General for the Arab League spoke about the misleading concepts of anti-Semitism and terrorism exploited by Israel effectively after September 11 events to distort the image of Arabs and Muslims in general. Explaining the origin of the world anti-Semitism he said it was the German journalist Wilhelm Marr (1818-1908) who used this term for the first time in 1879 to explain the current anti-Jewish campaigns in Europe. It is more than just prejudice. The word came into general use in the past hundred years and encompasses all forms of hostility manifested toward Jews throughout history. Since Arabs are also Semitic people, it is not the best expression. Consequently, such seminars are the need of the hour to dispel these wrong concepts”, said Mr. Jarad.
Dr. Jarad asserted that the concept of terrorism was fully exploited to distort the image of Arabs and Muslims all over the world after September 11 events. He appreciated the efforts of ZCCF in publishing two valuable studies on Zionist terrorism. He hoped to deepen this process of research through organizing symposiums with the aim of differentiating between terrorism and legitimate struggle for freedom as endorsed by UN charter and conventions.
German journalist Wilhelm Marr, by the way, is known as the “father of modern anti-Semitism.”
Wow. What a snakepit. Nice company Al Gore and Neil Bush keep.
