The chairman of "Gun Appreciation Day," planned for the weekend of President Obama's inauguration, feels that if Martin Luther King, Jr. were alive he'd agree that if African Americans had been able to own guns right from the beginning of the US, they never would have been slaves.
Of course, that would have meant they needed to be armed while they were still in Africa, because that's where they were enslaved in the first place.
(I know, I shouldn't be trying to impose logical sense on this whacked out right wing attempt to enlist Martin Luther King, who died at the hands of an assassin with a gun, as an advocate for universal gun ownership. It's an amazingly cynical and twisted argument, though. Where do they come up with this crazy shit?)
