Dr. Craig Spencer in Guinea

With all of the hysteria and fear-mongering about Ebola, we should remember that there is currently exactly one person in the whole country (out of more than 316 million) who is actually being treated for the disease: New York's Dr. Craig Spencer, who worked in close contact with Ebola victims in Guinea. And tonight, Dr. Spencer's condition has been upgraded from "serious but stable" to "stable."

A New York doctor who became infected with Ebola while treating patients in Guinea has been upgraded from serious but stable condition to stable condition, hospital officials said Saturday, marking progress in a case that intensified the debate over how to treat health workers returning from West Africa.
