In the past couple of days, right wing blogs led by the whacked out self-hater Milo Yiannopoulos (a friend of racist cyberstalker Chuck C. Johnson) at Breitbart "News" have launched a virulent attack on #BlackLivesMatter activist Shaun King, alleging that he's been lying about his heritage like Rachel Dolezal, and is actually white, not black.
And once again, the Breitbrats succeeded in driving their smear piece into the mainstream media, with very credulous coverage on CNN and other news networks -- despite Breitbart's long history of dishonesty, fake controversies and naked right wing propagandizing.
Here's Shaun King's response to this mess, posted at Daily Kos, and it's a damned shame that he even had to write this: Race, Love, Hate, and Me: A Distinctly American Story. I won't quote from this; just go and read it. I don't know Shaun King personally and I've never spoken to him, but I do know the vile dishonesty of the Breitbart gang, and if I have to choose who seems more trustworthy, there's simply no contest.
Shame on the mainstream journalists who fell for yet another creepy hit piece from right wing blogs they should have known better than to trust as sources. How many times do they need to get burned before they learn this lesson?
