To quote, uh, someone, “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence”.

Also, given the amount of money Saudi Arabia has to throw around, it need not have been *Saudi* chemical weapons. Bandar could have arranged with a third party to transfer a quantity of CW to the rebels, in exchange for a sizable wire transfer.

The mint news story says ” Many believe that certain rebels received chemical weapons via the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, and were responsible for carrying out the dealing gas attack.”

Which would be compatible with a Saudi-arranged transfer, rather than necessarily being Saudi weapons.
