Good talk - a lot of the same empirical observations I’ve made. Interesting to see that her research pretty much backs up most of what I’ve already seen and concluded for myself.

I think she’s missing another important factor to keeping trolls from dragging the discourse down - good moderators who take action when the trolls are the nasty kind who only get encouraged by shaming and counter-speech. We seem to have seen more than our share of that kind at LGF.
