So much for “land of the free.” So much for morality and human rights. So much for our fanatical reverence of the constitution.

But a majority of non-religious adults, 53%, believe the CIA actions were not justified, with 41% of the non-religious saying the treatment was justified.

41% in favor? Nearly half of fellow non-believers support torture? And we’re the group least supportive of torture?

I can’t even call that a cold comfort. I’m just disgusted. We’re a land of savages. I can’t sugarcoat it more than that.
