The fact is, the doughy blowhard is still a go-to guy for anyone with serious aspirations in the GOP. It’s been that way since he made a career of dissing President Clinton and became the self-proclaimed expert on all things KKKonservative.

His ratings may wane from time to time, but all it takes is one pandering, outrageous statement to bring his sheep back to the trough, eager for more.

As far as Mitt goes, he’s a political shapeshifter of his own opinions. He’s jello. He’s whatever he needs to be. As counterfeit as the day is long.
