And a reminder — didn’t Rick Perry get roundly booed for suggesting something like this in a Republican debate? Was it not one of the things (along with “oops!”) that lost him the Republican nomination? Didn’t Romney come in swinging at that point and put forth his own staunchly anti-amnesty-of-any-sort credentials? Surely Mitt could not have LIED in order to win the nomination, and will now come out firmly against Obama’s initiative?
