In real life, the world’s ability to make other nations straighten up and fly right about human rights issues is vanishingly limited. We don’t hassle Iran, we don’t hassle China.

Africa has basically been through World War Three, and except for a little handwringing over Rwanda and Darfur, the world shrugged and kicked back. Syria is in the middle of…this mess…and well, the UN is asking for money for the refugees, and appointing envoys.
