I think that gerrymandering beats out even super PACs in the “threats to our democracy” race. But this really is a both-sides-do-it phenomenon. Some of the worst gerrymanders in the country are in Illinois: see tnr.com. California just redid its map to get rid of some of its more egregious gerrymanders and I wish that other states had the guts to do the same.
