Sigh. Again, I’m just completely puzzled by this emphasis on “mental health care” after the Newtown massacre. There’s no reason at all to think that better mental health care would have done a single thing to stop Adam Lanza. He had no history of violence, no police record, absolutely no indicators that he would do such an evil thing.
Sure, it’s a good cause to improve mental health care. But the idea that it will do ANYTHING to stop these kinds of crimes is nothing but a fantasy.
