Actually the FBI was asked if any of their relative had come forward to identify them and the answer was no.

Even when the MIT officer was shot dead the FBI still didn’t know the names of the men. So it is logical that a lot of people who knew their names didn’t come forward.

My point is that distancing yourself AFTER the fact is a day late.
