re: #9 Mattand

I was wondering about that. I thought tornado season ended by September.

Back in 1957 or 58, our house was destroyed a day or two before Christmas. Pin point tornado that bounced through town (southern Illinois), hitting one house, then skipping down hill and across the street to get another. We had just moved out and were renting the house. Very fortunately, my father had built a very stout workbench in the basement, and the woman and children we had rented it to got under that. The entire two story, complete with fireplace came down on them but they weren’t hurt. So it has happened before. Not sure about this kind of outbreak, however.
