Still, nothing prepared us for the magnitude of this train wreck.

Oh, we were warned.

In fact, a lot of people were doing the warning. Like the author of Trump’s ghost written books. Or David Fahrenthold. Or Hillary Rodham Clinton.

She repeatedly warned what kind of regime Trump would install in the West Wing.

The very kinds of deplorables who are running amok.

The very kind of incompetent (on purpose), ignorant, and amateurs who have no idea how to do the jobs they’re tasked with.

Heck, anyone in NYC knows what kind of guy Trump was from decades of watching his schtick. From the days when he was nabbed for housing discrimination to when he was finally nailed for defrauding people at his scam school and all the days in between, Trump saw everyone else as a way to further his own ambitions and wealth.

Oh, and there’s a reason that the IRS was auditing his tax returns for all those years - their complexity and interconnectedness of all these small business entities and pass throughs meant that there was always a chance that Trump was using them as a way to illegally evade tax (not just tax avoidance, which is legit). His business dealings were and remain suspect, and his prowess has always in conning people into thinking he’s a business wiz, and not lucky to have been born into a family real estate business (as his kids are doing, with the added benefit of using the WH as their base of operations for emoluments violations, conflicts of interest, and violating the “ethics” pledge that no one has actually signed, let alone enforced).

So, this was entirely predicted.
