Tyree and Strahan are football players (though Strahan is retired). They both played key roles in the 2008 Super Bowl which the New York Giants won in an upset over the undefeated New England Patriots. Tyree was little used during the season, but in the Super Bowl, he made one of the most amazing, miraculous catches to set up the winning touchdown and he became a hero and a celebrity overnight.
