Sergey, could you explain how this relates to the famous “doctors’ plot”, whereby Stalin was accusing Jewish doctors of trying to poison him.

What I have read about the subject (long ago) indicates that this was in order to inspire pogroms against the Jews and that Stalin planned to save the Jews from the very pogroms he planned to provoke by relocating the Jews.

If Stalin’s intention behind the doctor’s plot was not mass deportation, then what was his intent (or does anybody know that)?
