A national registry for the mentally ill. That would require everyone to be screened for mental illness on a periodic basis, just to make sure someone doesn’t have an underlying condition that meets DSM-V characteristics.

Once you get into the specifics of a mental health registry, these same folks would oppose it in practice.

Of course, the mental health registry would require an exemption from HIPPA protections. And what mental health conditions would be no-go?
