I need urgent orchid advice. MrBWS bought me an orchid (Phalaenopsis) about a month ago and I haven’t killed it yet (like I did the last three he got me), but all of the six not-yet-flowered buds fell off the second week.
I’ve followed all the (albeit minimal) instructions that came with the plant and googled for more advice, but I’m at a loss what to do now.
He was so impressed that I haven’t killed the cyclamen he got me in the Spring, he thought he could chance another orchid.
Foliage still looks very good. Not sure what the deal is with the weird roots (especially the ones that are poking up from the top and tips are drying out).
I have it on top of a cabinet, well out of direct sunlight and (most importantly where the cats can’t get at it).
