If the candidate would have won but for the faithless elector, whereas you expect electors to be faithful, itβs seemingly different from a bad-for-the-markets candidate winning fairly.
Iβm still not sure this fellow will wind up being a faithless elector. (Throughout history they have been very rare.) In this day and age, if this guy actually does that (aside from the $10,000 fine) I suspect it will take (I do not support doxxing) about a microsecond to out his home, his workplace, &c. After that, voters will make his life miserable.
