I’m guessing even George Wallace wouldn’t have been this bad as President-Elect. At least Gov. Wallace understood how government works, and he recanted his racist positions later and publicly apologised for them.

The only past president or serious presidential candidate that I can think of who is clearly worse than Trump is Pat Buchanan. Never before has such garbage gone to the White House.
