Greets and saluts from the Resistance in the NYC metro area. The widely expected Tweet storm from Trump came, with entirely predictable results.

Salem witch hunt. The Red Scare of the 1950s. I could go on.

Oh wait, your history doesn’t reach that far back? How about Benghazi or Obama’s birth certificate? Trump actually figures prominently in the latter, claiming that he had evidence Obama wasn’t a US citizen, and spewed nonsensical ravings all over the Twitterverse endlessly to that end.

There’s so much projection going on here, that Trump’s destined to put IMAX out of business. It’s what Trump does, but Trump’s tweets aren’t meant to be consumed by the media or people with knowledge and understanding of facts. It’s meant for his ahistorical followers who don’t know and don’t care about anything other than what Trump says.

Prosecutors and investigators have a different mindset, and they use those tweets to go to Trump’s actions and state of mind, and the courts have likewise determined Trump tweets are equivalent to press releases from the WH, which helped strike down Trump’s Muslim ban in the 9th Circuit.

And yet, there’s people who still think that Trump will eventually figure out how the presidency works, and stop with the nonsense. They aren’t learning just as surely as Trump wont - Trump has spent decades doing these very things - lying, bullying, projecting on to others what he does himself and Trump is never ever going to change. The media needs to drop all pretenses that Trump will somehow learn and grow into the role.

He’s pathologically incapable of doing that. Five seconds of “presidential acts” like issuing a statement following the shooting yesterday is overwhelming by this morning’s tweets, which is all part of the pattern that Trump does.

Trump will continue being his own worst enemy by signaling all the criminality and actions he’s engaged in and inadvertently admitting the same.
