I think it’s deeper. Anything their guy (whomever THEIR guy is) = good. Anything Dem = Bad. If Trump did something with the Dems, it was his master 11th dimensional chess playing negotiating skills that got something something and he’s the best at something or other.

It used to be GOP=Good and Dem=Bad but now they’ve started to eat the GOP because of “establishment” this and that.

Of course, we have our own purity ponies to deal with so this isn’t exclusive to the GOP.

It’s not playing at all well on Freep. More RW than Freep is either full-blown Nazi or incoherently insane.
