Face it, Al Franken was handsy. My opinion is it probably rose to the level of an apology and possibly a censure, not a resignation. Al could have not resigned and likely there wouldn’t be a damn thing the senate would do about it. He decided it was best, for him and the party and presumably the country to resign.
