Good cars. Easy to work on, solid motor.

But like most English sports vehicles, the weakest point is the electrical system. They all pretty much used Lucas components, and Lucas isn’t known as The Prince of Darkness for nothing.

Virtually everyone who has experience of British sportscars has experience with sportscars that are 30-50 yrs old. Of course the electrics are clapped out. Most of my 45-yr old LR electrics are original, and the rest wasn’t hard to bodge.

(Loved my ‘73 MG Midget and its 2 Midget donor cars. Note there might be a discrepancy in the age of Makeitstop’s car—I don’t think they were putting the rubber baby buggy bumpers on MGs until 1980. It could be newer than 77.)
