White supremacism was an integral characteristic of American culture from our nation’s inception. Google “Hitler inspired by the United States” to see articles such as this one Nothing could have been more mainstream than slavery and the later Jim Crow laws that infested our nation and that the maladministration that governs us today is trying to reinstate. Indeed, if you look at the modern GOP and its efforts to disenfranchise minorities, you have a model of how this evil has never left us. The Russians may have interfered in the 2016 election, but white supremacism is not a foreign import; it is made in America.
