Putin stands for Authoritarianism, Oligarchy, Militarism, Homophobia, Islamophobia, Xenophobia and Theocracy.

Which is pretty much their ideal vision of God’s Kingdom on Earth, except that their theocracy would be based on Fundamentalist Protestantism instead of Russian Orthodoxy.

And I think Putin realizes that too which is why he’s allowed Fundamentalist Protestantism to grow in Russia.
