My old friend and skeptic co-conspirator Gilbert is an ordained minister, as are my son-in-law and my brother. My harsh view of fundy pulpit pimps is partly informed by what I hear from them, and partly from my own observations. My brother in particular thinks the funda-nuts are heretics and obvious charlatans, practicing what he calls “folk theology” while Gilbert calls it “recycled peasant superstition.”
