That’s a fraction of the mortality rate or hospitalization rate of covid19.

Not to mention the significant differences between the H1N1 flu virus and SARS-CoV-2 in terms of transmissability, reaction to treatment, resistance to treatment, mortality, etc.. ISTM to be a real apples-to-oranges comparison (but then, it’s Bill Mitchell, so imbecility is pretty much a given) - but what really stood out in perusing the wiki on the 2009 outbreak was the difference in how the government dealt with the problem.
And, oddly enough, under Obama, the Federal response seemed to eschew denialis and happy-talk, and embrace science and listening to (and enacting) the suggestion of public-health experts. Radicals…..
