re: #99 wheat-dogg

These same people voted for Matt Bevin, who promised to shut down Obamacare in KY, but they didn’t understand that the state exchange, called Kynect, which they like, is the same thing as “Obamacare.” Now they’re angry at Bevin.

So, it’s no surprise these unfortunate people fell for Trump’s sales pitch. Coal is not coming back to Beattyville, for business reasons. Trump can’t force the coal companies to mine something unprofitable, and he is sure as hell not going to provide retraining for coal miners.

It will be a cold day in hell when Trump visits Beattyville. Dream on, people.

McConnell who they also gave another shot is already saying the mines aren’t coming back. I mean I agree something needs to be done for these communities that have been negatively impacted by trade deals. I don’t think the course of action is to reverse the trade deals themselves or to go back to how things were but to look for new types of jobs to create and ways to revitalize those economies but unfortunately to a lot of people in places like this “Green job” may as well be saying “Columnist for the Daily Worker.” That is why in a sense, I do feel bad for people like this because they’ve been so easily conned by people not just like Trump but also Bevin and McConnell.
