I agree with some of the others that Dao’s rap sheet and disciplinary record by the medical board shouldn’t be germane to what United and the Chicago airport police did to him, but I also agree with you, that if you found that info just Googling him, defenders of United and the Chicago airport police’s action (and, also, bigoted shitheads in general) have already found it too and will attempt to use it to say that Dao deserved what he got, which is utter and complete bullshit.

I hope he takes United to court, and refuses a settlement. I’d like to hear United’s reasons for choosing him and not some other person on the plane for removal. Plaintiffs would be entitled to discovery.
