Since there isn’t anything you actually do with a freezer except open it, I’m supposing it just locks itself until its photosensor sees three stars on Saturday.

I’m guessing the little light doesn’t go on when you open it?

I tape over the lights on my fridge (Whirlpool). Samsung and LG do not have Sabbath mode or lights that can be taped over, so I will not consider purchasing those appliances.
