I dug out an old’ Nuge record earlier this year because my guitar jamming buddy hadn’t heard it. It was one of his last albums when he was still billing himself as Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes, even though that band had been broken up for years.

It was “Call of the Wild” and it was sorta normal before he got all crazy and full of himself as a solo artist.

It had been years (30 or more) since I listened to it. Actually probably one of his better albums because it was straight up rocking. And way before he made it big with the stupid solo stuff that really sold and grew his head big.

And then he got political and I learned to really really hate the bugger.

He had already shit himself to get out of the army by then.
