Then I’m sorry, but count me out. I live in a ruby red district, so my newly-elected Congresscritter is one of those who we’re frequently told Pelosi is “protecting” by not pushing her caucus on impeachment. The ones who cannot afford to take a stand against Trump lest the MAGAts who already want her gone suddenly get it in their heads that they…want her gone. So calling and emailing her would take time away from tasks that could immediately benefit me, like changing my car’s oil or mowing the lawn.

It’s hard for me right now not to see a point in all those I talked to in 2016 who saw no point to voting, because they felt that nothing ever changed. I voted for a Dem majority in 2018, and the most I can boast about is Trump hasn’t been able to get anything passed through Congress. Oh wait, that was already the case before the mid-terms, so I can’t even boast about that.
