I hear you, but Standard Oil wasn’t all bad. One of its spawn, Standard Oil of Indiana, built the second Standard Oil Building in Chicago (a towering skyscraper now called the Aeon Center) subsequently renamed itself Amoco after buying a few other Standard Oil spawn, and became my father’s employer for over 30 years. And Amoco was where my parents met. So without Standard Oil, there would be no Dark_Falcon.

For similar reasons, I feel the same way about JP Morgan Chase, back when it was known as Chase Manhattan. My mom and step-dad met there, so I can’t totally hate them!
